My 12 year old sister in law was taken to the ER this morning for a high fever. Normally this isn't cause for concern. But she was born with a non functioning pancreas. She had an islet cell transplant at 4. She recently has hit puberty and this causes a change in hormones. An unexplained high fever can be a sign of a major infection which could mean her body has rejected the islet cells. Which has been known to occur and is a risk with these transplants.

We all a bit scared and may be making more out of this than it is but it is very scary with her health history. This is the first time she has ever hhad an unexplained fever. She is not sick with the flu or anything.

Please keep her in your prayers.

Also her father is not doing well at all. His sugar levels are so high his machine won't register and he is slowly withering away to nothing. If you remember my last posts about him and his pancreatic infections.

So much of whet we struggle with in this life has to do with our physicssl health and yet when we're in a rough patch, we 're forced to reach out to the One who hears. Trust in His wisdom!

They have been at the hospital since 9 this morning. Still waiting on blood work results and Mri results. The doctor who has been with her since the clinical trial happened to be at the hospital and is with her. So that is a great thing.

Thank you all for the support.
