Got an email a couple of years ago wanting to know if I wanted this pedal tractor:  130 Pedal Tractor 1.JPG  The owner had seen some of my pictures of ones I'd restored for parades:  HPIM2864.JPG

After I got it home, $50 shipping (dirt cheap for this model) I ordered the needed parts, $360+, cleaned & repaired what was usable & re-painted them.  HPIM1444.JPG  HPIM1445.JPG

Today was the day to mount the tires.  I'd never mounted solid tires before & was a bit leery of it, but read up on the procedure.  "Cook" the tires for 20-30 minutes:  HPIM1439.JPG

Meantime, I used threaded rod in the bench vice to make a rim holder:  HPIM1441.JPG

The fronts came first;  HPIM1440.JPG  Then the rears, being careful about direction:  HPIM1443.JPG

The job wasn't that hard once I got into it!  Now, for putting it together & the decals!

That's a cool restoration! I knew kids that had similar ones back in the day and was always jealous of them.

That's nice. Crazy people around here want $350 or more for one in the condition of that one when you started working on it.

Does it still run?

It should once the fuel tank is cleaned out!

I finally put the 130 Eska pedal tractor together this morning, a project that has stretched out too long:  HPIM1461.JPG  HPIM1462.JPG  HPIM1463.JPG

Now, I have to make a place for it on top of the unused wood stove in the finished basement, next to my desk1
