If he just bought it back from a friend, how does he know what condition it's in... also how did he put $2k into it.

i would like to be his friend if he is willing to put that kinda money into a tractor that isnt his...

Wow, this guy would try to sell his 'virgin' mother to a blind man if he thinks he can make a lot of money. This is just too funny.

I have an antique 1968 Ford Motor Corporation (FMC) Bolens Tractor for sale or trade. First red flag to a scammer.

This is the most complete Bolens tractor I have seen in the 20 years I have owned it. Sounds like the guy with a 1225 in eastern PA.

It has the hydraulic lift and the following attachments: Disk, Plow, 3 foot Tiller, Snow Plow and I believe I have a Belly bushhog for it somewhere to. SOMEWHERE??? Belly bushhog???

The engine was rebuilt for a $1,000 dollars 10 years ago and the tractor has hardly been used since being rebuilt. Did it really cost that much in 2004 to rebuild a TRA-10D motor???

Just the hydraulics on this tractor is worth $600. NOS sells around $400.

The last time I bought parts I got them at the Ford tractor parts house in New Albany Indiana and they told me the hydraulic pump is an item that is sought after. Yes, they are desired, but ...

I have owned this tractor for 20 years and it was rare when I aquired it. He really doesn't know what's out there.

This tractor is great for put in a large garden and even has the wheel weights for added traction. More verbage, just like a used car salesman would say.

Well, I have had a good laugh. I may contact him and see if it is the same guy listing stuff in eastern PA.

This was our last email from this guy "I put new gear in trans and it had 3 gears in one that is for the hi and low. 200 dollar part. Motor was rebuilt 40 hours baxk for 1,000 dollars. The bad, the guy a traded it to years ago left it sit outside.....I am only saying it's worth a grand for attachments or parts"

He has been doing something . I just hope he doesn't scam anyone . He thinks because there isn't another one for sale on Cl that it's rare so I went out and found 8 of them for sale and emailed them to him . I enjoy this hobbie I just hope that this is not a trend with these out of site prices

Embarrassing that it's a Kentuckian listing that!  :wallbanging:   It's just 40 minutes up the road from me.  If one of you guys make a deal, I'll pick it up for ya's!  :smilewink:

You don't have to worry about me wanting you to pick it up for me. I don't allow the Ford built Bolens on the property. Also the same with the Jack Daniels green and yellow ones. :D
