How about this ad.

http://www.ebay.com/...=item43d372fcdb

I like in the description that he know's nothing about it but yet he wants a mint for it.

The description was his brain talking.  Scrambled !

Does anyone ever see Craigslist as the digitized, modern day Sears catalog? LOL. Well, I was flipping through the digital pages of CL and came across this and I really had to share this "GARAGE KEPT" gem.

"Bolens Model 1225, Hydrostatic Riding Tractor with 54" mower deck , 1960s vintage, rare, scarce, item here. the starter generator will need to be rebuilt so this machine can run properly, this machine is garage kept. SERIOUS COLLECTOR INQUIRIES ONLY NO PHONE NO REPLY!"

Look at the listing and check the rest of the pics of this "GARAGE KEPT, 1960s vintage, rare, scarce," tractor.

Here is where our party started now you you guys are tempting me again. I don't think he is answering questions anymore.  :D

Wow. I didn't mean to start a new topic on the same ad that was started before. But it seems we all see the same problem. An antiques dealer (tongue in cheek) that is after the mighty $$$$$$ at the ignorance of unsuspecting potential buyers.

I saw the ebay ad for a 14' trailer and according to the description "They" purchased it back in 1999. If he is one of "they" that means he was a Landscaper - Excavator - Tree Service guy before this crap he is doing.

And to get a NEW quote from the company for the trailer to be compared to to validate his Buy Now price is a hustler's tactic. Kelley Blue Book or even a banker's evaluation for loan value will give a truer value than what this guy is trying to hustle.

No problem I just wanted to take you back to the beginning so you could laugh even harder at this guy. I think the thing that got him the maddest was I told him after looking at most of his items on eBay I found him very entertaining.

Just for the heck of it, I checked on the completed ebay auctions that he has had.

Out of the first 192 completed listings, he sold 1 item.

It was a Husqvarna Model #261-18 chain saw that got two bids and sold for $128.50.

I didn't bother looking any farther on his completed listings.

It's obvious that he has no conception of the value on anything and he doesn't have enough common sense to even realize that.

I was looking through his auctions and laughing at the prices last night. He either wants to get rich and doesn't know how, or he wants to keep his stuff.

Maybe the misses wants him to get rid of his stuff and she has no idea what its worth and he really does and has it priced not to sell on purpose.  I highly doubt it though.

Oh, he surely is in LALA land. After a few emails to and from the guy I did learn he did work in the landscaping business and he complained of people not paying their landscaping bills. So he decides to sell on fleebay.

Says he has the only 1225 in the great condition it is on fleebay so that makes it RARE and SCARCE. I sent him a couple of links to other 1225's on CL and one being similar to the condition his is at a price of $200. He replied to me with these words: "Dream On". The other was a package and was restored in '07. Seller is asking $1000 OBO.

I think I'll keep beating him up for a few more days since he says he will part it out soon if he doesn't get his price for the whole tractor.

:poke: :poke: :poke: :poke: :poke:

I know I'm on the naughty list this year for Christmas so why not make the best of it. :D

Guess I got added to his list also.  He had a 4" belt with a 6" disc sander, used listed for $99.00  and $77 shipping.  A NEW on at HF is around $50 on sale.  I asked if his price was what he wanted or if he had a respectable price.  Told him his $77 shipping was out of this world and when he got back to planet Earth to give me a reasonable price.  His replay:

I will now report you to Ebay for horrassing me. This unit was built in the USA. Kind Regards, varietyvintageplace

So, he will report you for harassing (loving his spelling: horrassing. Oh, the HORROR) and then gives you a salutation of "Kind Regards". LOL.

I need to go check my email and see if he has dropped me any more 'words of wisdom'. :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :worshippy1: :worshippy1: :worshippy1: .

I been trading emails back and forth with him just for the entertainment of it.  Never would tell me what the brand name the sander was but  "it was made in the USA"  Been blocked 3 times now. :mad2:

I really doubt that he will "part it out"  (tractor) as I don't think he has the ability to know which end of the wrench to take hold of.  Probably has a rusty pair of pliers and broken bit screwdriver that he couldn't sell for his tool collection.

Takes all kinds to make the world go around but he is about to spin off.
