Hi All just stumbled onto this forum..Lots of Info! Does anybody have any info on the vertical assist lift spring for this tiller? (I too an a diehard Bolens fan...had my GT2000 for nineteen years .....still mows and runs like a champ) I just bought this tiller but this spring was missing. Pic shows where it mounts. thanksIMG_20141217_102305033.jpg

Welcome to GTTalk, Duratrac. Someone with knowledge on this model will catch this soon and give you a reply to your question. I will say you came to the right place for Bolens related questions.

Thanks 1053 also need info on the gearcase  lube and how to check it.....the fill cap is on top......my mower deck gear oil is on the side ...fill to top of the hole...this puzzles me. I have been trying to find an owners manual but no luck so far. I did buy a parts diagram that shows this spring but only a part number.no specs. thanks again and yes seems to be a great forum!!

Bob thanks and I'll be calling you.....any chance you have the upper bracket (spring support) that bolts to the rear end that the spring hooks to... #59 part #1744928, the bracket that attaches to the lift arm (lift arm assembly) #65  part #1744936, lift cable #63 part#1744967 nylon pulley( white roller) #73 part #1734508?  I can probably fab the spring support and the lift arm assembly.....my cable is frayed where the previous owner had it hooked up to his tractor without the lift spring and therefore flat sided the roller trying to pick up all that weight and bolted too tight so it wouldn't turn. One other piece of info I am looking for is where the roller attaches....previous owner had it hooked to the right hand hitch arm #58 back hole (third) but told me he wasn't sure about that. Parts diagram is hard to tell....... any information is greatly appreciated!

Wonder if it is the same spring that was used on the 50333 model tiller - item # 55 - part number 1714844?
