Can anyone give me a model on this tractor? I bought it for $60 and dont know much about her. I know its a tube frame. I dont have any stills yet but here is a short video of its first job. It came with the plow, but I dont have the 3 point for it. Still pics are further down

When I first seen it I was going to say a 900 but after watching more of the video I have no idea what model it is.

I looked at some 1000 pictures. My hood hinges at the top. The grill is all cast iron. Its only a 3 speed tranny.

Would be a lot easier to id if you can get some still shots on it. I think it is a Bolens or partial Bolens. The dash tower has a weird step to it close to the bottom which kind of throws things off for me. The hood is definitely different but like wilberj mentioned if it was one built for Wards that could explain the hood.

Looks like a 600 to me based on the engine/pulley and the seat. Someone must have added that dash tower on later.

Thats exactly what it is Jerome.

I know little about it, but from what I know it is Pre Tubeframe. Late 50's early 60's
The dash and everything is all original except for the red paint

Its definietly Bolens/Wards

I have seen only 3 other ones besides this and they were all gold except the tire rims which were white.

MATTS, I do believe the good Dr is correct. I had a late 50s model that was identical. All gold with white rims.

Sixty bucks is a steal. You did good.

So what model should I look to for parts and diagrams? Who has the best deal on lug tires? Is this machine rare? Should I use it for the intended purpose or restore it and look at it?

I would imagine a lot of the tube frame parts will interchange. Lug tires you can check with a local tire shop or Miller Tire has some pretty good prices. I would use it for it's intended purpose or restore it and still use it for it's intended purpose. They are not as fun when they are trailer queens.

You got a heck of a deal for $60. If you can get some numbers off of the motor and a picture of the driveline we should be able to narrow it down to a model that would be close in the parts list.

I didn't realize you posted some pics already. I am going to go out on a limb and say the Bolens 600 would be a comparable match to get an idea of a parts list. I could be wrong though as I am not one of the Bolens guys. :D
