A guy that is in a tractor club with me told me that he has a set of tracks/ undercarriage that were marketed as a universal crawler conversion back in the 70's. I have not seen this setup yet but I have never heard of such a thing. I hope to get over to his place to see it soon and possibly buy it from him. Just wanted some info before I go. I know many guys have converted garden tractor into crawlers. I also know that there were several company's that made mini crawlers such as Mead,  Lennox, and Magna to name a few. But I have never heard of a conversion kit. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Here is a pic of the Tractor Trax kit installed on a Power King. They also had a kit for Cub Cadet's

The pic is of a rehabbed/improved kit installed on the Power King. This tractor is the one that was on the cover of LGT magazine along with a very nice write up of the history of this product.

I remember seeing that one in there now that you show it. I asked him if it went over the tires like that and he said no it is a complete track / undercarriage assembly. I am guessing it is just the undercarriage of a manufactured unit but we will see. I will try to get over there soon and check it out.  Thanks for the info so far.

Here is a thread with the Struck half tracks on it. It would be cool if it was one of those set ups!

Struck also offered a Trac-Kit you could mount a garden tractor on. 2008-08-24-1547-21_edited.jpg 2008-08-24-1607-31_edited.jpg
