Great posts. I just got my wife one for Christmas. She was wanting to make sure we could use it if we went away. She was making sure that I could use it on my favorite forum. Thanks for the help for me.                                                                                                                                                                Roger.

I'm using Kindle Fire. Don't know anything computer wise. All I know is it's lightning fast compared to my old tablet. Kind of small to work with, but at least I don't fall asleep waiting for something to load!!

Oh, well!  I saw tapa talk come up offered too, but said was a charge for it, so didnt look into it anymore. NOt sure what that is, see fellas have that on phones. What is it, and why is it needed??  Thought these things ran on Android system?  That make diff on using over windows type systems?  Puter idiot here, can you tell, ha!

Tapatalk is only useful when using a mobile device like a tablet or phone. It does make surfing the forums easier from them. I didn't think they charged for the app for android devices but the kindle being for amazon they may have a different app store and maybe they do charge for it. I know they charge for it in the apple store.

I was wondering, specifically, what Tapatalk is too. It is offered in the header all the time.

I have the notification on the site for tapatalk turned off and it still shows. Basically it is an app you can install on your phone to make browsing and posting on forums easier. It does make things a better format when viewing forums from a phone.

I tried my Kindle fire last night again and no luck posting anything but I have had a few instances when it worked other times. I don't know what the difference was. I do all other GTT viewing and posting on my IPhone with out TapTalk and without any problems except its small.

I didn't think they charged for the app for android devices...

It's varied back and forth.  Tapatalk was free, then they started charging for a premium version, then the free version went away for a while, and now it's back to free.  They PO'd a lot of people who paid for the app when it went back to being free.

If you're not already aware, down at the bottom of the forum page, you can switch the theme to mobile which will format the screen to take care of the being "small" problem.  The only problem is you can't post pictures while in the mobile theme.
