Pretty nice, and can remove the weights easier when taking off. Would have to lift out or shovel out or whatever on the Box type I suppose? What brand are those weights? Must be for smaller tractors then?  I have a few JD weights I got when I bought blade for mine about like those.

Very nice!  I had a gift card for Heavy Hitch, and so I used it on one of their products.  Just got it...looks identical to yours, minus the pride of making it!  You did excellent work.  Real nice.  I also like the added utility of this type of hitch, and the more compact size vs the bulky box.

BUT...before taking my weight box off and kicking it aside, I had a few chores to do....now I am loving it as a carryall, and appreciate the fact that I can pile up any old weights or scrap I have to use them as weight.

Looks real nice!  Can I ask how long it took to build?  The only thing I see different than ours is the receiver...does is go through the bottom tube or is it welded on the side of the tube?

Thanks. Receiver butts to the back side centered up , wrap welded , added these just cause I liked the look & a little more strength can't hurt. About 3/4 of a day I guess but I was doing some other stuff as well , probably do better , maiden voyage always takes longer.

Good move adding the gussets!  That will help with side to side and distribute the load more evenly across the surface of the lower tube. Nice job.

Thank you , your product was my template as you can see & probably guessed , I talked to a gentleman at your company ( perhaps you?) I believe in '11 about your hitch and explained I wanted to make my own , he couldn't of been more helpful and courteous . As you can see by the dates on the photos it took me awhile to get around to it ( weekend warrior, working out of garage). Your hitch I believe was one of the first on the market and see several copycats followed suit. Glad it's made in the USA and you advertise as such , GOOD FOR YOU ! A lot of members on this forum love their stuff and are always looking for attachments that are well made and defiantly serve a extremely useful purpose , I'm sure you read through this post and see props already sent your way by a satisfied customer. You should consider advertising on GT Talk ,become a sponsor ( if your not already ,not sure ,I haven't navigated through entire forum to see). excellent way to further your product's growth into a sure fire market. Thanks for your compliments and help back when I was pondering it's fabrication. Enjoy your Holiday season !
