OH! and the TV cameras mounted near the windshield are smaller than a pack of cigarettes. The days of the huge tripod mounted behemoths are long gone. They could very well have been filming as you went by.

Yeah, I'm aware they could have been filming from inside the van. The cameras are small but the window mounts are usually pretty obvious. I just saw them in passing so could easily have missed interior cameras. I was just saying that acticle made it sound like all the driving scenes were shot in a controlled environment and the van was strictly a prop. It even said Mike and Frank never travel together. They would obviously have to have a camera crew with them to get all the exterior shots. When I saw them, they were alone and on a back road in the middle of nowhere. Could it have been completely set up, sure but it didn't seem like it.

Every show on TV weather it be reality or game show or talk show is a set up and scripted. I still watch some for the fun of it anyway. Every thing is about ratings and money unfortunately .

I have heard plenty of rumors and stories about the passes they make through this area around the Sturgis rally time every August, and just about all the stories describe a completely scripted and acted production. It isn't PBS so they do what they feel will get ratings and sell advertising.

One incident that wasn't true they did on the show that is a fact, was a couple years ago they were in Sturgis, and were going to a bar there. When they showed them enter the bar, it was not in Sturgis at all---it was "Sanford's" here in Rapid City!

I like seeing all the cool old stuff and places they go to but I could sure do without the silly drama. I much prefer documentary type shows.

I also like seeing the interesting items they come across. The drama is absolutely ridiculous but that's what producers think will keep us tuning in,,,as in most any so called reality program.

All the repo shows are as fake as the WWE. Actually the plots in the WWE are more believable. I got tired of the bike and car builder shows with the fake fights and they always have a "major complication" that is gonna make it late but they always seem to pull everything together just in time. The guys on Gas Monkey annoy me, but I do enjoy Misfit Garage for the entertainment value

Probably is staged but I always like to have more than one source before I form an opinion.

I think the only shows that have truth to them are Deadliest Catch and Ax men

I gave up watching all those shows. Just nothing there that interested me.

I can't believe it would be fake and scripted... Would definitely ruin the show.

I finally caught the rerun of this yesterday. The previews listed the grudge match and the WH was an added bonus.

***Spoiler alert*** if anyone hasnt seen it yet.

Frankie wins and says "I feel like Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson"

Apparently he doesnt follow DRAG RACING.   :hitting_self_roller:
