With the talk that was going on with reloading operating systems and some discussion I had going with Bill about Linux it got me to thinking it would be cool to see screenshots of other members desktops that they use the most.

 

I have almost always ran a dual boot system where Windows 7 was my main operating system and whatever Linux distro I happened to have installed. Here lately I have been using one called Elementary OS and so far I really like it. Anyway here is what my desktop usually looks like when I am on the site and messing with the server.

 

The black box on the right monitor is the terminal that is connected to the server through ssh which is showing the results from the recent server software update.

Only if the following is true:

 

If you take the computer off the desk and carry it into the next room, it will not work.

Wow you are so right , the power cord will reach, but that other cord, it  wont.

here is my Linux decktop - Mint Linux Debian

I have tried several different Linux OS's over the years and I like this the best.

 

I have another pc setting on my desk for testing different Linus OS's

Last fall when I was in PA. Alan left his tablet in my truck.

He had left it on the seat, turned on. Honestly. I had no

choice, but I saw his desk top. It looked like this.

I am work, better not screen shot my work computer :D

 

I used to put on background pics, but with the new security systems, we only get our company logo as a background and we can't change it....the blue screen sucks to look at all day

Here's a couple of mine.  I have been running PCLinuxOS with the KDE desktop and really like it.  it is quick and quite stable.
