I'm finally back to working on the Mighty Mite. The ring and pinion, differential gears and bearings are all in great shape. After cleaning everything, I'll make all new gaskets and install the new seals. I ordered four rolls of gasket material at two different thicknesses. I had to order 36"x36" rolls in order to make the bull gear housing gaskets. Once the axles are back from the machine shop, I'll be able to assemble the rest of the rear end. I will need to locate brake bands before I can install the pinion gear shafts, though. I may be able to use Economy Power King brake bands for the 4" brake hubs with some minor mods.
I have to make 3 gaskets for the transmission so I can finish reassembling it, and the Briggs ZZ engine is just about finished. I still have a long way to go, but at least I'm finding what I need with a bit of searching.
