But I love 'em! I finally found what I think is a reasonably priced Deutz Allis 1920 Ultima, with a 48" deck, no 3 point but in good mechanical shape with 428 hours I believe it says. He wants $600. I wanted to rush over and pick it up but we both are working until the weekend, so I played it cool.

That machine would be three times that price around here. Maybe 4x's.

I got a 1918 in a package deal when we picked up a cub cadet 1650. didn't really want the duetz other than to flip it and make some $$, it had a bad motor. put another motor on it, got it ready to sell and my wife said NO!!! you are not selling MY tractor. it is a nice gt, lots of power and the power steering is sweet.

Now if you want something really big, orange and ugly, I have a Deutz 100-06 I'll let go cheap, lol. Being a JD girl, I hate to admit it's horses are stronger than the JD. 4040's, and the fuel consumption is fantastic. However, it is the most awkward, inconvenient and downright ornery tractor I have ever driven, and it only needs a square four acres to make a full circle, whether pulling an implement or not. But for power, I'll stack it up against anything--- hope yours proves to be the same in that regard.

Talked to the owner tonight, going over Saturday morning on my way to open the shop, if we make a deal I'm going back on Sunday morning to pick it up. I've wanted one of these for some time, not sure why this over some other, but I always liked them.

Looked at it this morning, drove it around the yard, the hydro works good, the lift works, evrything is there, so I bought it for $500. Figured I couldn't go wrong, he also may be willing to sell me a 3 pt hitch assembly, with the rock shafts and all the linkage for $150. I'm picking it up tomorrow.

That's a great deal and it should have a 2 sp rearend and maybe diff lock. Not a bad looking tractor either and if you can score the 2pt for 150.00, that will really be a deal.

I think I'm getting the 3 pt hitch in a swap for a 2000# Warn winch and pulley block.

And it does have 2 spd rear and differential lock. 442 hours on the working clock.

I have a pair of 23/10:50 AG tires or the rear, but I'd like to find a pair of 26/12/12 for it, that's a big tractor for 23" tires.
