My Canadian friend's had to wait 10 year's before they became citizens in the USA  a fact I find appalling  considering they fought side by side with us in almost every war. You would not believe what they had to endure to come here. They had to study our law's the way our government is (supposed) to work and our history as a nation, and were given a test they had to pass !  I'm embarrassed in their presence knowing what they see going on here in our country, and our failed leadership

It's probably near impossible but, If they would only put all that effort and ingenuity into making changes in their country instead of fleeing it. I understand why they want to come here, I'd probably want to too but, are they contributing to the better good when they are here? Hate to think where we'll be in 50 years or so, if it takes that long.
