I think we should add "white" to the title because Jacobsen also made white tractors for a period too. Thank you

MTD also made the White garden tractors, for a longer period than they were made by Jacobsen.

True so better I think we say Town & Country instead of White.

I think we might be better suited having a separate forum for White and possibly split Oliver off to it's own also even though the Oliver forum I don't think would get posted in much.

That would be fine with me, but we would need to split out the manuals also.

I agree it would be nice to see WHITE included in a forum. Where would it end? Ford is probably worse off than WHITE as far as being in the correct forum since they were made by Jacobsen, Gilson/OMC and Toro. I've owned Fords made by each of them, and I have two Whites, one each from Jac and MTD. Maybe they belong to whoever made them best :smilewink:

I wanna say I would rather see a forum for each brand. Even if it is a Ford made by Jacobsen but it has Ford decals and serial numbers than it should be under Ford. Jacobsen made a lot of their own branded tractors as well so they should technically have their own forum as well. Would be up to the owner to know that quite a few makes and models cross reference with each other.

The biggest issue would be the work involved moving topics to their rightful places if we adjust the forums.

As a newby to this forum (but a veteran on some other gt forums) I see it as an advantage to have all the Jacobsen made tractors grouped together. The reason being is that most of the service and repair information crosses over between the various (Jacobsen built) makes. That makes it easier for someone to find the info they are looking for. I'd really hate to have to check 3 or 4 different forums to find the info I'm looking for.

I have been collecting Cub cadets for many years and am very familiar with them. I write the Cub Cadet column in Red Power Magazine. But I recently aquired a Ford LGT145 and came here for info on it. Many folks don't know that these tractors were built by the same company so if they had an Oliver or a Minny, they wouldn't necessesarily know to look at the Ford forum for info on their machine.

In my opinion, the best option is to keep it all together and possibly add Town & Country to the heading.

I think I know how we could go about this. I can add and have added White and Towne & Country to the forum title. I will create forum links with each brand separate but they will all link to this one forum.

I did setup an example with the "White Tractor Forum" so I could show and example of what I mean. If you guys are happy with this I will implement it for the rest of them.

I think it's a great idea. Seems like it would work fine for any brand. I like it.
