The EGT200 was made only in 1974 and1975. The volume sold was small. The % of surviving units seems to unknown. All this seems to make them a sellers market to those in the know. Sorry. Edit- Forgot to add I somehow ended up with the deck from an EGT200 - don't ask. I wont give up my source. If you find the tractor we could talk.

BTW - My avatar pic is a GE E20 painted to resemble an EGT200 by accident. It was rolled on a barnbank during its shakedown run after purchase. First red then these colors. The barnbank is long gone.

EGT200s did they have mid mount mower only? All the pictures I find are for mid mount.

I conferred with Mark in Missouri on this one previously. That what makes them rare -and largely unknown. So only a few front mounts are publicly known. And probably some did not survive high scrap prices of recent years.

And to clarify - my New Idea deck is front mount with the attachment arms.

So I take it that the GE20, I5, and EGT200 are basically the same tractors.
Are these the only ones that have foot speed controls?

To my knowledge yes. Wheelhorse c185 ( Ithink that's the correct model) maybe. Foot pedals were a safety advantage IF they didn't stick which they would in acummalated service.

Doug, On July 23, 1974, Wheel Horse announced that they would be buying GE's Elec-trac production line. In 1975, W. H. offered 4 models of the Ge tractors only painted WH red, A-60Elect Horse rear engine rider, A-65 Elec Trac, B-145 Elec Trac, and the biggest C-185 Elec Trac. Wheel Horse continued selling these tractors to GE dealers as GE tractors and New Idea dealers as New Idea tractors. After the 1977 Model year, Wheel Horse stopped production on the line.

So the E20, I5 and C185 all the same with front mower, New Idea EGT200 are mostly mid mount mower's.
The front mower has electric lift, does the mid mount have the electric lift or manual?

Can't provide much from here - GE did it both ways. On the New Ideas Iwill guess not . Would have made the Floor Plan too complicated. Everybody wanted the easy way by then. Electric lift. I Have an EGT100 manual lift-- it still looks like a riding mower but rust everywhere.
