Hey Hammer, any more progress on this project? You've done a fantastic job so far and I can't wait to see what you have been up to.

Daniel:
Were did you locate the chart for this engine. I would like to see if there is information available for other other engines.

Hey Hammer, sweet diesel build! I've got my own, and cant seem to find the info on wiring the alternator, which appears to be the same as yours?

i havent had the time to check into that yet. the one i bought is off a tg1860 so i bet a wiring diagram from that machine would help.
I like the mini dozer you have going on. once this machine is completed that will be one of my next projects

Thanks, its been one of my faster projects. Just a few more parts for a test drive now. I'll see if i can find a diagram for that so we have two pairs of eyes searching.

finally got something done on the 1250.

Mounted up a power steering cylinder. I bought this through baileynet.com. 3 3/4" stroke works just right.
i cut the ball end off the rod side and welded the original steering rod to it
Heres a few pics

Looks great Hammer! With the power steering, I've found those type tie rod ends sometimes don't hold up too long. I replaced mine with female heim joints that match the threads on my control arms. Very easy/fast/dependable fix.

Daniel, Ill keep that in mind. No big deal to change it over when it wears out.
Ill be working on mounting the steering valve, 2 three spool hydraulic valves and the 8 hydraulic quick couplers next.

I bought some 1" keyed shaft and drilled a hole into the center of a 1/2 plate. slid the shaft through the back of the plate about 5/8" and welded it up. i faced the back of the steel plate on the lathe and turned the flywheel side of the shaft down until it slid into the hole in the middle of the flywheel. Drilled the bolt pattern and bolt it up.
Hours on my kubota are unknown. It was in a golf course machine. they way it runs id say over 4000hrs but who knows how its been cared for. it will be getting a rebuild soon enough

I have since changed to a different stub shaft since i cut my cross shaft for the hydro pedal out of the way. im going to try and make an independent rear pto. Im thinking 1-1 chain drive off the flywheel stub shaft. a 3/4" shaft will run right above the framerail on the right side of the tractor with a 3" double goove pulley on the end. Ill have a 1" 15spline pto shaft in the middle of the tractors rear with 2 bearings and a 6" double groove pulley. Im thinking i can put a lever mounted to a tensioner pulley to turn the pto on and off. Ill need to make this work around the 3 point im going to build as well. any ideas on any of this would be great

I bought a different steering valve from a 345 deere. It fits into the steering column much better and has side ports. I made the bracket to mount that up today. Im probably going to end up making the port adapters to work with this valve also. It uses a "port-o" system.
I also started making the handle assembly for the dash mounted 3 spool valve. I picked up a hydraulic hose crimper so ill be making my own hoses too.

Black smoke is normal at startup and under load. my diesel blows tons of oil out of the exhaust and crankcase vent. have yet to tear it down to determine the cause
