Our Bolens 1476 and some pics of the work we did to it. It had been sitting for several years as the p.o. had started a resto/refurb but lost interest. It was missing several parts. First we gave it some new front shoes (old ones totally rotted out )and some vintage Goodyear ags.

Next it needed ing. sw (NOS) light sw (NOS) wiring, coil , solienoid , ignition box ( notice the use of the not often attempted double universal deep well socket application ) rebuilt S/G

If you want to go original I have the Wisconsin Coil Clips and 6'' Plug wire's in stock for these.

Next it needed a muffler, changed the down pipe to 304 SS , bent , stretched, and installed, parking prawl needed replaced replaced (L-R NOS , used, one that was in it) needed carb , air horn air cleaner & new rear axle seals

Needed a gas tank, new tail light ,seat skins, wheel weights , decals. And here it is.

One thing I noticed..     Is the exhaust pipe appears to be clamped on tight...   I have the 1477 with a 14 Wis. engine. and I have a spring between the 1 1/2" pipe and the stainless exhaust pipe..  This helps take out the vibration from the engine. and on the tail pipe end,,A spring wrapped around the pipe and the bracket loops around the spring to the frame..There was another thread about this,,But it was aiming more towards the  Tec. tube frames...     Anyway  Beautiful machine......Wrenchin...
