Looks like a good repower job on that old S-Frame, at least they didn't cut the hood up!

Looks like a good repower job on that old S-Frame, at least they didn't cut the hood up!

They were available with that engine towards the end of the run.  That is a replacement engine, but it was probably originally equipped with a 16 twin.  I have seen these Gilsons and their cousin Montgomery Wards tractors with a twin from the factory.  These are stout, overlooked, machines, but I like them with a single 16 Briggs.  I can't stand the sound of a Briggs twin.
