That's an Economy tractor, model is simply Jim Dandy.  Nice example of one too.

That's a real nice looking tractor for a 60 or 61. We don't see many power king tractors up here and I don't think I've ever seen a Jim Dandy.

Back when this one was built (late 50's - early 60's) all tractors were Economy tractors and the models were simply Power King which was the big one and Jim Dandy which were the smaller ones.  Simpler times.  The ad says 60 or 61 which could be right but I always doubt until I see a serial number.  I don't think it has the original engine either.  Either that or something is weird with the hood.  There shouldn't be that much separation between the hood and the engine so something isn't right there.

I'm starting to think the hood is not mounted right.  Just look at the front pulley.

Nice looking tractor but I've got to agree something isn't right with the hood fitment.

no that doesn't appear to be the original engine it is a much newer Briggs. It appears the hood has been cut to the contour of the "new" engine.

Noticed hood too, but figured old engine gas tank was probly around that cut-out area?  I DO like the foot platforms that someone has added to the sides. That is nice change that PK should have had on them I think. Not a real bargain here, but not too bad for the nice condition it seems to be in.
