I have not got any pics yet, but I recently picked up a very early HT23, I think a '79 from what the po said.  I think I have seen it discussed before, but I would appreciate any thoughts or input on dealing with, the worn/sloppy high/low selector lever.  The lever seems so worn it will not make the shift and has tons of free play.  I took the seat pan and lever off and the transmission male lever seems fine, but the steel shift lever is worn to where it wont grab to shift.  Any thoughts or repair ideas would be greatly appreciated.

That is what I was leaning towards.  I was kind of worried the steel tube could wear down the shifter shaft if it did not fit snugly.  It may have already rounded it off a bit.
