Had to run to town, so went to a Chinese eatery. Had hot pepper chicken, General Tso's chicken, shrimp, fake lobster meat, rice, and some tapioca pudding for desert.

My wife puts quite a lot of dinners together and the one side dish that never misses especially with the grandkids is cornbread. It's an all time favorite.

Yeah, you can't hardly miss with cornbread, my grand kids attack a big pan of it like throwin meat to the lions. Only trouble is, I usually don't have much time, so I just use Jiffy mix, a little sweeter than I like [probably why kids love it].

Do you guys use pre mix, or scratch made?

George

This being New Year's Day we had the traditional pork and sauerkraut.

Had some of that at the establishment we went to last night. They brought it out at midnight. I would've gone in for 2nd's but our ride was ready.

Plans for the same meal up at my parents Sunday Afternoon. Going up for late lunch & conversation.

Today's supper for the wife and I was the pulled pork from yesterday's butt roast. Some pulled pork on a kaiser roll covered with cole slaw. Our side was french fries covered with gravy. This is a favorite of my wife's, but sometimes when we are out and she orders fries covered with gravy the waitress gives us a funny look, but it's always something they can do.
