Today wasn't a good food day.  Being I took Dad to a hospital procedure, I had to leave really early & just eat a couple doughnuts in the waiting room.  Had to stick around the whole time and we left at noon.  Dad can't eat solid food yet, so I couldn't get anything to eat in front of him, that would be cruel.  So I finally got to eat around 3 this afternoon.  Tunafish sandwiches & chips.

Sorry I don't have pics, but the morels, fiddleheads and asparagus are producing like mad up here, so I made a pasta primavera. Homemade dill flavoured noodles with lightly stir fried asparagus, chives, wild picked morels and fiddleheads. Added a little sour cream and stirred it in, grated some parmesan over top, et voila, spring time heart attack on a plate!

Asparagus from the garden; taters, onions and carrots in foil on the barby; beef patty from local abbatoir and a beer from a local craft brewery. Mmmmmmmm.

And for dessert; good old fashioned strawberries and icecream......Dave

That looks good. Did you freeze your own strawberries? Mine are blooming like crazy but no fruit yet--- I can hardly wait!

Strawberry season is just under way here in southern Ontario. Berries in pic were fresh from berry farm only a mile down the road....Dave

Well, it's for tomorrow's supper, but I made this year's first batch of garden fresh salsa. I am looking forward to it!

That sounds pretty good! Do you make yours really hot? I, (and my stomach), prefer the mild versions. Some of the ones with fruit are good too... if you like that type.

Oh, not too hot, though I don't mind it having a nice heat (just not a sickening heat). I do like salsa that has peaches in it (this recipe does).
