Bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, marinated 24 hours, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. I'm stuffed and ready for bed.

It got to -30 again last night so we had comfort food, homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I like to dunk 'em.

Almost sounds like Sunday brunch to me, lol. Tomorrow, being Friday, we go for breakfast at A&W, sausage and egger, hash browns, and about a gallon of pretty darn good coffee. Everyone at the table chips in a Loony and we play scratch and win/lose tickets until we're broke. It's tradition!

We are cooking up my hamburger 'casserole'. Basically, brown one side of some hamburger patties, flip them and cut the heat to low. Put a slice of onion on each patty. Add a layer of thick sliced potatoes. Season with some salt and lots of pepper. Add a layer of sliced cabbage on top (with a bit more pepper). Cover and simmer till the cabbage is done. Great stuff!

I decided to get the grille dug out the other night to grill up some pork chops. I figured you gotta start thinking spring with all the cold lately.

Well since I just found this section of our wonderful forum, I'll share what Amber bought and cooked with last night!

1948 Westinghouse Roaster Oven, model RO-91. Very good condition, complete with owner's manual, Bakelite handles, and steel storage shelves underneath. It works fantastic & Amber couldn't be happier! This R2D2 (she named it that) machine has produced mustard glazed country style ribs for this evenings dinner. Thank you machine!

Chicken Lightly breaded in Italian Bread Crumbs, pan fried to brown in Olive Oil and Sea Salt, then baked until done. Then dashed with Romano.

Green Beans from last year and white rice with parsley for sides
The Eggs are needing eaten and Loran requested them. I let her peel them. :wallbanging: but cute at the same time.

Being a chilly damp day, with thunderstorms rolling through it seemed like a soup night was appropriate.

So it was sea food chowder and cheddar biscuits.
