PIZZLE!!      Wife pan-fried some venison tenderloin, made some biscuits ,fried taters and green beans with bacon.   OH YEAH!

A good friend brings us fresh pizzle every hunting season. He knows how much the wife likes it and the memories it Invokes.  Whenever her dad brought home a deer she would get up early with him and he would fix pizzle and eggs for themselves to enjoy. Her siblings weren't interested and she had quality time with her father.     Rick

This year, I grew some PA Dutch Crookneck Pumpkins/Squash.  We made some pumkin apple soup for dinner, which I wasn't expecting.  But, as the wife says, it was scrumdiddilyumpcious!

Had FRESH turnip greens out of the garden, along with some Pink eyed peas that my mother had canned and a big ole chunk of corn bread.................now that is some GOOD EATS!

Tomato soup with cheesy Garlic Bread. Not exactly healthy, but I'm ok with that right now.

I had a new steak and cheese sandwich from Tim Hortins  and cream of Broccoli  Soup....it was pretty good.

Stir-fried some chicken with garlic, onions, celery, and fresh garden cabbage and swished it down with apple juice, everything raised or grown right here on the farm.

Just got back fro taking the family out to a steakhouse. Steak, loaded baked potato, cheese fries, bloomin onion, and cake. I am stuffed.

Kind of blew the home grown thing today--- fresh oysters from Washington State, dipped in beaten egg and milk, rolled in cracker crumbs and fried in butter. Mashed taters, fresh tomatoes, and carrot and cabbage salad.

I'm making my 'hamburger soup'! Brown hamburger with some onion, chop up some taters, & add what ever other veggies you like. I put in 2 cans of corn, 1 can of green beans, some baby carrots (cut up small so they cook well). I also chopped up some celery just for good measure. Put this all into a pot with most of a jug of V-8 juice (I added a small can of tomato paste & water). I put some Tabasco and crushed red pepper to spice things up. Good stuff for this kind of weather!

Teresa made home made vegetable soup.  Most came from our garden, but the Lima beans from a can.  Corn, bits of stew meat, Lima beans, Green beans, little chunks of tomato, and some other stuff.  Sweet cornbread & sweet pepper relish added..........YUMMMMMMMMMMM!   No pics, as I ate it too fast to think about a pic!
