Grand, I wouldn't say it's popular around here. I just like a bit after diner. Release The Kraken | The Kraken™ Black Spiced Rum

I went to the site and was relieved to see it wasn't made with real sea monster.

Yep, they are great! Some brands are overly spiced but the ones last night were just right. Enough spices to add to the flavor but you could still taste the peaches. Just google pickled peaches or spiced peaches.

Last night I made Skillet beef and lentils and my brother cooked up some homegrown canned green beans. I didn't think it was overly smashing, but everyone else thought it was great. I guess that is what counts.

This morning we are fixing to have scrapple, and cornmeal mush. The bacon just finished smoking yesterday so we might have some of that as well.

Tonight certainly wasn't our usual dinner. Friday was our 39th wedding anniversary but we decided to have our special dinner tonight. We made steak and lobster tail on the grill. That was some good eating. But to bring things back into perspective, my wonderful wife has already told me that tomorrow will be Hamburger Helper. I do like it, but it sure ain't surf and turf.

Sounds like almost like our house. 3 freezers with a beef cow, two pigs, and some chickens. Hard to imagine our family goes though that much meat in a year. Our bacon just finished smoking the other day. Finally back to bacon with flavor.:smile1:

Kept it simple. I had to work late & everyone else had chicken breast for supper. Decided to "pull" the chicken, cook up some witenagemot rice, a little salt, a little pepper. Whew, I'm stuffed.
