to walk my little girl down the isle. Getting nervous, sad and happy all at the same time.
They grow up so fast from that little baby that ask to be loved and cared for to the little girl that liked dresses and playing in the dirt at the same time, all the while wanting to go fishing again. To the preteen girl that could out fish her mom and dad and already was able to drive a stick shift truck like she was born to it. To the teen girl that loves camping to wanting to be like her dad and go to college and still do all the fun cool stuff outdoors. To the college graduate who graduated on the dean's list. Growing into a young woman who with her degree in hand starting out in the world with a plan. Getting a first real job part time to full time to assistant shift manger to asst. store manager and then with all her hard work and perseverance advancing in this company to benefits director for a large multistate corporation, all within three years. Along the way she met the man of her dreams and they prepared for their life together. May they always be happy and may they always be committed to each other as they begin this new chapter to their lives.
We are so very proud of her and are so happy that she is starting this chapter of her life. By the way she has asked me for a vintage mower for their future new home in a few years. Yup she drives and uses them well also.
Time to go and do my " Daddy Duty ". For all of you fellow members out there with little girls and young ladies try to get ready for this now. I thought I was but I've found that every time I think about it my eyes begin to mist up. To all who have already done this you know what I am saying is true.
If ya want I'll post some pictures of the wedding tomorrow. As for now I'll dry my eyes and put my tux on and say so long to my little girl and hello to the beautiful young lady she has grown into. Roger.
