Just replaced all four lines at the power steering pump. Started the tractor and worked the hydraulics and found one of the lines (on left side leading to control valve) is slightly leaking at the fitting. Dont know if I over tighted and cracked the fitting or if I didnt tighten enough. I talked to a guy last week who said he messed up one of the nipples on the steering pump where the hose screws on by over tightening. He also said he couldnt buy just the bottom piece where all four hoses connect, he had to buy the whole pump?? Also is there a way to get into that line without draining all the hydraulic oil and not making more of a mess? I know I will have to at least take the front hose (leading to the control valve) back off just to get to the leaking hose. At least Ive got time until mowing season to fix this monster.
