Isn't that another name for the 990 or similar series??  Or is it newer?  Would bet that is a Briggs then. Yep! Need pix for sure. I can't help with model number, which might just be a Dayton number and not MTD's.

Thanks for the effort.

The guy finally came through with a pic.Only took 4 days.

From the pic looks to be late79 early 80's and up.Looked clean and decent condition.

Claimed it ran good but had tranny issues.16 horse brigs opposed twin vertical.

That was the deal breaker wanted it to be horizontal.

Only wanted $50

why do the good deals turn out to be the wrong tractor.

I sure was hoping for it to be the early 990 style.

Too new if it had engine like that. That is what many of the newer tractors are running now days, I have A Kohler V-twin in my Deere hydro tractor. Many have Briggs engines and look almost like the same engine!!

I'm pretty late to this thread, but here are some pictures of my Dayton 3Z68B (MTD995).  I also had a White GT1655 once... still have manuals for both of them, though I'm pretty sure I uploaded them here as well..
