The Cub Cadet lawn tractors have been nothing more than glorified MTD's since about 2003 or 2004.  Somewhere in that time frame if not even 2002.  When I worked at TSC they had both Cub Cadet 1500 series and their Huskee badged MTD's and they were basically the same thing even back then.  A different hood and paint scheme but essentially the same underneath.  What made Cub Cadet who it was is now long gone just like every other garden tractor line MTD buys up.   Bolens and Troy Bilt are two good examples of this.  And this is coming from a die hard Cub Cadet fan.
