When I first started working in and around Midland Tx, I picked up a rig for Big Dog Drilling. I had never heard of Big Dog Drilling till that day. I told my wife about it and she in turn told my daughter and then she called excited like I have never heard her before. Dad, Mom said you got big dog rigs, is one of them 28 and I said no. Then she started telling me that Big Dog 28 was on the TV show Black Gold. She said she watched it every week. a month or so went by and I was picked up Big Dog 28 to service. I called my daughter and she just went nuts over the news. I got home and the very next hitch in texas she came with me just so she could see the actual rig they show on tv. She had a lot of fun talking to the roughnecks and rig mangager, she got a hard had signed by all the crew plus a jacket with Big Dog Drilling on it. My work moved to Oklahoma for awhile so the rig was assigned to someone else. She couldn't have been happier. She still stays in contact with the rig manager. That s her standing on the steps. You know I don't know I never really watched, although I tried. While a part of it was factual, the rest was made for tv
