Pulled the plugs, they are above the valves.... So not going to get much info there.

This post threw it to page two, pics on page one.

Casey, you'll need to pull off the head to know more.

Your engine would have had a magneto, and it should have a fuel pump.   I like that it has a governor.

Ben,

I know there should be a fuel pump, but would electric fuel pump suffice in this scenario.

Also, how much is a magneto and and carburetor going to run me? I know I have to pull the head to know which, but looking for a little direction.

Good info here. My TF, like Ben said is 3.25" bore and the stroke is too, according to the tag. Looks much like the engines you pictured here, WV.

An electric fuel pump would work.

Technically, there are different carburetors for a fuel pump versus non fuel pump engine.  I think I have one cast iron Zenith for you, and a couple aluminum Zeniths.   Aluminum Zeniths are cheaper.  I think I sell them for $125.

The magnetos are a different story.  If it is a dual spark mag, you are looking at $200.  If it is a TJD with a timed mag, you are looking at $250.

All those parts are cleaned, rebuilt, ready to roll.  I sell a lot of them.

Buzz,

If your application will allow the fuel tank to be mounted higher than the carb,  just gravity the fuel in.

Yes, could do that, but not sure what I will power with it given it may be 350 to make it run....

I use an electric fuel pump with my TJD, but the floats in the carbs can easily be overpowered by 3psi pumps.  So I used a pressure regulator with my elec pump, set to 1.5psi.  Haven't had any problems since.  You could make your own regulator by putting a T in the line just ahead of the carb, with a restrictor in the return line back to the tank, or T back into the fuel line ahead of the fuel pump.

Its not cheap if I provide the magneto and carb without getting any cores back.  If you find a magneto and carburetor, rebuilds are much, much, much cheaper!!

I Googled Wisconsin twins, and I got these:

aaaa_twins.jpg

They are twins who ran the Iditarod.

I don't blame ya for wanting to get the engines running, Casey. Having those two and a team of Huskies pulling your GT around would be awfully distracting.

So, do you think what happened here, is that they conquered the Iditarod, and then

got online, looking for their next

challenge, and zeroed in on Casey?

That has to be it, Will. How else would Casey end up with a pair of twins like that??
