I picked one up three weeks ago as well. Mine does convert, plus there was a 20" Weed-Cutter blade for it too.

i had a table saw attachment a few yrs back, but sold it to some guys in Chicago, as I didn't have any real need of it. Even had the manual for it.

I think most of the old timers that ran a machine like that was nicknamed Stubby

or Lefty

As for the exhaust, it's set up for winter use. That's a hand warming feature. The CO will make you feel warmer, if just a little sleepy...

speaking of lefty's, I believe that only DB made the bucksaws in a left or right hand version, most all others had the blades only mounted to the right, as you faced it.
