I got a massey ferguson mf7 recently and i was wondering if there was a way to relieve pressure on hydra drive rear end so i can push it? Still needs some work done to it.bought it from a scrap yard i work at and it seems to be complete.dont know why someone junked it for.has the deck and all.hopefully i can get it running and itll do good.my mf12 has a handle u turn to make it free roll but cant find anything on the mf7.any answers will be appreciated.i also need to figure out how you decode the vin on them to figure out the year.please.

Hi, welcome to GTT.

I don't think there is an over ride like on the MF12H, or 8H. I believe that if you push in the clutch pedal

you can push the LT around. I'm going to be near mine today. I'll have a look.

Oops, I think I'm wrong with the above.

I was just looking at some pics of when I worked on mine.

The pedal on the left is strictly a return to neutral function, I think.

The only other lever that affects the drive train is the parking brake, and it

also lifts the drive belt tensioner. I'll look today.

I don't think the 7s have a release but I know the 8s have a lever right below seat on the flat below fender pan near where shifter would be

I took a look at my 7H today.

There is no over ride, but a decal that says "Don't tow"
