Brian, when they say 10 lb lift, they mean 10 lbs strain.
I know you want to get back into the swing of things, but PLEASE don't over exert. You'll end up back in the hospital and we will have to give you $#|¥ for it.

I agree, tearing into a rear end maybe a bit much this soon out of surgery.  I'd give it more time, I sure would hate for you to land right back in that hospital.

Going out in just a little bit to tear into the rear axle on my F-250 to see if I only have a seal out or a bad bearing. Still under the 10lb lifting limit, but I think I can pull on wrenches OK.

Don't even think about it!

Hey guys, just thought I'd let Y'all know that things are about the same around here. I am hoping to start going back to work soon. This numbness in my fingers and feet is still really bad and it even bothers me trying to sleep. Going out in just a little bit to tear into the rear axle on my F-250 to see if I only have a seal out or a bad bearing. Still under the 10lb lifting limit, but I think I can pull on wrenches OK. Thanks again guys..

Use a hammer on the wrenches instead of pulling hard!  I'd say to use an impact wrench, but they weigh a bit themselves.

I agree 100%, maybe just gather some tools, sweep the floor whatever. PULLING on wrenches is NOT a good choice, even impacts. What you think happens when the 50 plus pound tire comes off the hub after the lugs are loose ?

PLEASE be very careful.

I know our surgeries were on opposite ends, but strain is strain when it comes to muscles being cut, and after nearly 7 months I still get pins & needle pain in my neck when I overdo things.  So please Brian, set good limits and stick with them.

Yea, too much straining and you will have 2 broken "rear ends"  :smilewink:  :D

I hope your numbness goes away, I have restless leg syndrome, I could only imagine the struggle you are having with that feeling all the time.

Just getting up from a creeper is strenuous and exceeding your limit.

Thats way more than 10 lbs right there!

[for some of us - its significantly more than others] :(

I called him before he started on the pickup to urge caution.  Not everybody follows Dr's orders as well as I do!  :smilewink:  :rolling:

, I have restless leg syndrome.

I get it once in a while. Not bad yet, but I fully expect it to get worse over time.
I was searching once for info and saw this. Struck my funny boneimage.jpg

Yea, mine is off and on. I may go a month or two without it, then it practically keeps me up all night, ...or my wife. She has went to the couch before cause I kicked her so much. most of the time I don't even know. Mom says my dad did the same thing to her so it must be genetic.

Brian, don't you build some type of milling machines for the sugar cane  industry? Just asking, we uses to have a company in out town that made equipment for sugar cane harvesting.
