Just got off the phone with Brian, and he sounds good, tired of course, but good.   Lots still on his mind of course, but he knows things are heading towards feeling good again.   Just a few more hurdles to jump, then huge improvements to follow.  I can't wait for Brian to have all this behind him and get back to life as he once knew it.  He's sure been an inspiration!

I'll have to agree on that! A helluva great man to know and call a friend!

Just spoke with Brian. He's feeling a bit rough, but to be expected this soon after his last treatment. He stayed home today & got caught up some on rest & sleep. He's gonna try to get to work tomorrow. His next scan is Oct. 7th, and this is when they WILL see he is still cancer free (and will forever be). I can't wait to hear it officially. Prayers always continue for you my brother!

Just spoke on the phone to Brian, and his surgery to reverse his colonostomy is scheduled for November 3rd.  He's 3 weeks out of his last chemo treatment, and still plagued with numb feet and hands, but painful to the extreme.  He's working when he can, but it's tough.  He doesn't post much as he just doesn't feel up to it, and hasn't felt like any GT stuff anyway, which is totally understandable.  He'll be starting his journey towards full healing soon, but has a few more hurdles to jump.

 Please keep the prayers going.

You got it, prayers and thoughts! I know he will be feeling more like posting soon.

There is something here that has me thinking about my 2 colon resections. I complained to my surgeon for the last 4-1/2 years that my feet felt wet, numb and even hurt and he always blew it off and I just live with it. All started after the surgeries. Sounds related somehow to me!

Thanks Daniel for the update, Brian is still on our prayer list too, Had two family members go thru this, it is a long road, I think they were both in late sixties when it started.but after surgeries and treatments they had fairly normal lives, one made it into 80's and one went to 91. So it can be beat.

Oh Brian has this beat already!  He's just gotta finish the race & cross past the checkered flag is all.  I have 2 sisters with this same cancer.  One is in total remission, the other is still battling it.  So I know what Brian is going through, but no idea as to how painful & scary it truly is. All you guys here at GTT and my family here at home battling illness are in my daily prayers.
