Thanks very much. I have my sights on one for $50.00, or best offer. Needs carburetor work. Thats it. Worth it?

Yeah, anything that will run and has green paint on it is worth 50.00 I think.

Brian is right, 1970 to 1974. Deere also made the 55 (1970-1972) and the 57 (1971-1974). Good little mowers. You could also get a snow blade for the series.

it's worth more than $50 in parts on ebay. I have the shell of one sitting out in the woods. about all that 's left that's any good is the hood.

One on ebay right now for $75. Looks ok, no engine or tranny. So, $50 for complete sounds pretty good to me.

Can't pass it up for $50. Even if you couldn't get it running it is worth more then that in parts.
