Glad he had enough thread to stitch that up! Hope you can get some naps in today! That's a nice batch of hay they rolled up. Glad Josh was able to get the baler to cooperate. Craig is probably ready to go home and rest!

Sleep when you can Dan. The visitors have no idea what you need at the moment. We had to do the same thing some weekends when my wife was laid up. Hate to turn them away, but we had to have time to take care of ourselves also.

Daniel, recovery from an invasive surgery like you have had never seems to go in a straight line from bad to good. There's always good and bad days along the way. Don't let it get you down. It's great to hear you have made this much progress. The stitches look as good as can be expected after only 4 days. You must be a quick healer!

Hate to say it but stitching looks good as good as it get's. It never ceases to amaze me , how when they stitch up a cut it looks so lumpy etc: and once the stitches are removed and its healed it becomes nice and smooth again. As for sleep your body needs to rest in order for it to heal. You'll be up and itching to do stuff before you know it,then it'll be hard for you step back and take it easy. However that is a must.

I'm glad you are feeling better and are able to get around a bit.  Your internal clock is messed up with sleep, it will straighten out as you heal and become stronger.  Once the Dr. gives you the OK to start doing some work your routine will return.  What you need to do with that incision is get it tattooed as a zipper.  If anyone asks then you can just tell them that is where they put my stuffing in. :rolling:

Having company when you are recovering from major surgery can be very taxing.  When they moved me from ICU to a room I had some friends come up and two of them are pretty funny to listen to.  When they come in I was sitting up but the wife could just watch me slide down further and further in the bed so she finally asked everyone to leave.  By that time I was hurting, but shortly the nurse came in with a happy pill and I could rest.  So don't feel bad about the sign, you will have a chance to see them when your strength had returned and it will be a better visit.

Craig have a smooth and safe journey back home and thanks for helping Daniel out during all this!  Your a good man!

Good job on the stitches! Do we need to change yer name to Franken-Dan'l yet????

Your incision actually looks better than most. Not a hint of inflammation or infection to be seen. Be cautious with respect to too much stretching of the incision line. No 2 daughter had a bad slash across the knee a few years ago. Before it healed completely, they`d sewn and re-sewn it 4 times.... Nasty scar for sure!

The scar is where they had to go in and remove his dairy programming and insert cowboy programming.

Still tough days.  Not much time on my feet or the neck starts aching a lot.   Naps are the order of the day. Tougher than I figured on for sure.

Naps are always GOOD.  Now you have the perfect excuse.

Have you had any feed back from your Doc lately?

1St surgeon checkup is this Thursday regular Dr too to check INR (blood thinners). I feel I'm doing great but just need to learn how to relax while doing nothing without worrying at the same time.

Take it as easy as you can, Daniel. It won't be long and you'll be going full blast again. This is something that has been giving you pain for some time and will take a bit to ease off.
