Daniel is now home, he is in a lot of pain. Had to hold his head as he came into house according to Josh. Josh said they dont want a brace on his neck, so he'll have to deal with the pain that causes till he heals up.

That's not good!

I thought he got rid of the pain in his neck when he got rid of the cows!  Now he has another one??? :rolling:

It will take a few days for the pain to subside.  I'm surprise they didn't give him something for the pain and no brace.  Hope he feels better soon.

He does have pain meds, I guess just not as good as he needs.

Thanks for all the replies guys.  I have experienced some incredible pain...worse than I imagined.  While I hate pain killers, I took  them and wanted more.   Being home has really helped. I"m on valium  and percocet. I am wearing a brace when I am up and about till I improve. Likely won't be on much for a few days. Thanks again for the support. My wonderful wife is actually typing this out for me and she detests my keyboard. LOL

Thanks for the update, Teresa. The "my wonderful wife" was the first hint that you were doing the posting, lol  I know those are Daniels thoughts and words, but it's fun to jerk a chain now and then. I am happy for you both that he is at home again so soon.

Actually I started the reply myself, but my constant typo's were aggravating me to o end, so I asked her to finish it.  She balked when I said "wonderful wife",but I told her that's what I would have typed,so please type it for me. This post alone took me at least 4 typo corrections.  Kept waking up almost every 2 hours to pee from ll the IV fluids, so finally got up for coffee.  Teresa is still asleep.....she's exhausted.  Needed to take my pain killers anyway.  Up to around 8 fixed typo's now.

NO WAY one could handle this surgery witout pain killers.  Doc said 3 blown discs in a row are uincommon and extremely painful. The heck with typo correcions as long as it's legible.  :rolling:
