Pre-surgery appointment at the hospital was a breeze...no blood work even!  My last blood work was just recently, so all they will do day of surgery is a finger prick, then IV for surgery.  After speaking with hospital staff at both the hospital & surgical specialist center, I feel very good about the surgery.  Unless something unusual comes up, I'll come home the very next day.  I'll only be off thinners for the duration of surgery, then right back on.  Surgeon needed a payment of $1600 up front today.

Glad every things going well for you Daniel. I had my first surgery about eight years ago for a triple Hernia. I'll admit I was scared, nervous & worried. Once I met the surgeon & staff I felt so much better like you. They have a way of comforting their patients. I have so much respect & appreciation for folks in the medical field. To me they are very special people. Looking forward for a good report & speedy recovery.

Woot Woot....gave myself the first blood thinner shot & it was a breeze!  I have to admit it took 3 or so approaches with the needle to actually do the deed and I was popping a little sweat, but I barely felt it at all!  No biggie!

That nice to hear. It's easy to say that there is nothing to it but when it comes right down to it, I wonder how much thought I would have to put into doing it.

Did I get enough "it's" in there?  :D
