I would like to enter my sons1964...model 854 wheel horse that was just redone this past year by me and my 2 sons Mike and Johnny. It was taken completely apart down to the last nut and bolt. The engine was left intact as it ran perfect and had good compression. Everything was stripped then new paint applied to all surfaces from the frame up.

New tires and tubes. New fluids. Belts. Bearings. Trans seals.Brakes air filter. Plug. Wire. Let me put it this way. Everything. My sons are 13 and 12. They are working with tools with me hands on. Better than video games and watching tv. The boys decided they wanted A tires on the rear as well as tri ribs in the front. Better control for winter use as dad promised them a plow. He just hasn't found it yet. Lol. To finish it off a seat back was added and a new set of decals from Terry at redo your horse was the icing on the cake. Many could have done it better. What was important was working on it as a family. As pretty as it is it will be put back to work.judge for yourself and enjoy.

Great tractor and story! Nice to see the Boys wanted to keep it original as well, You dont find too many younger people who want an OEM tractor, most want a 50HP engine with stacks :wallbanging:  !!

Great Job!

I would like to nominate my cub cadet 3184. I purchased it about 8 months ago off Craigslist for $200.00. It had only 331 hours on it but had been left outside and in the elements.i hauled it home and cleaned the carb and it fired right up. It has the 18hp Kohler command, hydraulic lift, 44 inch deck.all worked well.

So I dismantled it down to the frame which cleaned up great. The entire body was blasted and repainted. Same with the deck. I replaced the headlights and decals. I installed new spindles, blades, went up to a 25-10.50-12 kenda rear tire and 18-9.50-8 front kenda.also added some personal touches including a custom iron cross front bumper,2500 lb winch, off road lights, and a polar tandem dump trailer.

I already am.... "Old Girl"  http://gardentractor...-1974-75-roper/ I actually need the title modified to say 1978 Roper, as this is what I think has been determined the actual age.
