Got a 22" Atlas two stage from the dump today. Everything seems to be if good shape. I think it was tossed because someone broke the handle off the sliding choke on the Briggs 5 HP and I was able to fab another one w/ steel shipping strap. Engine starts easy and runs good, no blue smoke and no rattles or knocks. Besides needing a new blower drive belt the only thing I see that will need replacing in the future is the rubber drive roller has quite a few cracks in it so it's days are numbered. Had to reset the gov on the briggs because someone who didn't know how had tried to set it. What amazed me was finding 3 zerks on the wheel drive system. The skid shoes were worn badly so I welded some flat bar on them and they're good as new. Lowered the cutting edge as it was almost worn into the frog. Cleaned all the rust out of the chute w/ a cup brush and gave it two coats of paint. Does anyone know where I can find a new rubber drive roller? This may be another housewarming gift for the grandson, LOL!!

Mike, show me a picture and a couple dimensions of the rubber roller you want and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks, Ben!! I did find a parts list for it. Model # 15-5220, s/n E000645. Parts list ref# 136, p/n 123-14, description: roller disc drive. I'll get some pics tomorrow. I'm gonna call the site that had the parts list to see if they might have the part. The parts list is dated Jan 1980.

                               Again Thanks,

                                                     Mike

A brace from the auger gearbox up to the top of the auger housing was gone so built another for it. It had grade 5 bolts for shears so replaced them w/ good shears. To my knowledge she's ready for a blizzard!! Hope you have some luck on your search.
Thanks,
Mike
