I'm glad I didn't go to Hoptown plow day Sat. The transmission went out on my truck Sat. afternoon. There goes $3000 I don't have to spend

Chuck, I'm sorry to hear that, but glad you didn't make the trip and have the breakdown away from home.

Geez Chuck, hate to hear that. 3 grand is a ton of money to most of us. Maybe it'll end up cheaper????

I knew a kid once who could crawl under a Chevy 4 sp. and remove it in 7 minutes.

Sorry the tranny gave up on you, Chuck! I know rebuilds have gone sky high along with everything else!

Can you do the work yourself? I have replaced lots of tranny's on my own and they aren't to bad to do, plus you could pick up a good used or reman for less $$. As far as breakdowns go the ones that happen rite in front of the house are best

He was the guy who was really good with a torch, right?

Nope, no torch. He tried a Ford 4 sp. . . . once! They're cast iron and when he dropped it on his chest, he thought he was done for.
