Cleared some more gardens today:  HPIM1363.JPG

Time to shred it with the Merry Mac leaf shredder:  HPIM1364.JPG

35 minutes later, all done:  HPIM1365.JPG  -------------------  for now, still need to layer it for composting.

There will be some more later, but enough for now, main gardens are turned over, still have a brush pile to chip.  Always plenty to do around here!  ~~  Lowell

I still have lettuce, cabbage, collards and turnip greens growing in the raised beds. Had some frost last night but I covered the beds up and they seem to be ok today.

got most of the yard work done

the last two weeks I have

shredded the leaves and blew them into to garden,  had a friend bring a trailer full of leaves and shredded them too.

got over 14 pickup loads of sheep manure.  all shredded and leveled on the garden.

plowed the garden the other day and  today  I tilled the garden.  made two passes to get it all mixed

oh my main garden is over 65 x 65

shredded what was in the garden and it all is in the compost pile.

got 7 loads of sheep manure early this year and it is compost down.

it is about a third the volume that it was after I shredded it.

I have used the 110 with the FEL on it to turn the pile at less twice a week

it will be used next year for the flower beds

got to finish trimming the apple trees and chip all the branches.

it will be used the mulch around the trees

I still have a small turnip patch, they'll handle some frost.  Will have some more plants to shred & leaves to clean up.

Used the 70 I & Huskee 42" sweeper to pick up 15 loads of leaves today:  HPIM1366.JPG

Dumped them under some wildlife shrubbery out back.  HPIM1368.JPG
