I purposely overfilled the oil level to above the (L) on the full point on the dip stick. I'll let this set 24 - 48 hours on the blue shop towels before I finish assembly this weekend.

Nothing showing on the paper towels so I put it back together. I put plastic tubeing over the copper to protect it more. The little grommet that came with the kit wouldn't work. Hopefully I can pick up the beefed up clutch bracket and have Old Girl back together this weekend. Still working on the muffler and getting the deck installed.

Glad you got that fixed. I used 1/8" copper tube and put windshield washer hose over it for protection where needed.

I had to run out to the shop this morning to get a bill to mail on the way to work. Guess what I found........... Old, Girl's starter setting on the table. Yep, installed the tins, but forgot to put the starter on. Guess I know what I am doing tonight.

That's a downer! You would have really been mad to try to start it and nothing happened!

Clutch bracket now has a gusset, and the hood latch has been repaired. Re-painted them and while they dried I installed the starter, carefully making sure I didn't forget anything else. Got the engine set back on the tractor. Taking a break then I'll fasten it down and connect everything back up.

Got a call from BMP's new owner this morning, He is leaving at 9:30 this morning to come get BMP, 200 miles one way. I finished Old Girl this morning and immediately put her to work with the Trailer duties.

Don't think so. He replied to my Craig's list posting through a friend of his. He doesn't have email.

After the trailer duties, and just some enjoyable riding around. She was parked on fresh cardboard (In BMP's former spot) and set for over 24 hours. No leaks, Yaaa. I picked up a much needed second window A/C which is making a BIG difference, but on hindsight I still need a bigger one than 5K. For now it is 100 outside and I am not sweating inside. Searched Tractor supply for a 5/8 X 103" deck belt, no luck, but I did get a 5/16 rod to finish attaching the deflector to the deck. While there I spotted a Trailer that would tote Old Girl with the deck attached, that I could now pay cash for. I am procrastinating on this purchase.
