I received the new Carb today, looking everything over it lines up with the manifold and all the fittings are in place, but the differences are concerning. I am sure this will work, just not how well. Big jet screw looks to be replaced with a non-adjustable, and the throttle body is smaller, everything else line up.

Anyone notice something "New"? And I found an actual print date on the Roper Manual.

Fantastic job with the pin striping on the hood. Looks like it's been there from the factory all these years.

It'll be like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Maybe better.
Nice, very nice.

The front decal was a challenge, I tried to hand draw in MS paint and Power Point. I got an idea (ouch) I set the camera to the highest resolution and took a close picture of the decal in the brochure. I brought this into MS paint and cropped the decal and cleaned it up some. Then I opened it with Windows Photo viewer and edited the bright, and contrast to get a mostly solid color, then back to MS paint for more cleanup. I then imported the picture into Power point and sized it. printed a test and adjusted the size, then made a second slide in PP and copied the picture to it and flipped the picture Horizontal. Took the PP to work and printed it out on the color laser printer on adhesive transfer paper. Phewww.

I ordered the rings and a set of points this evening. Supposed to rain starting tomorrow through the weekend so I came home at noon and spent 4-1/2 hours on RED. Grass was thick and damp, had to clean under the deck twice, and  3rd and 4th gear was used and reverse mowed to blow the clippings on to the cut area. Normally I use 5th and 6th, and mulch over the clippings. This was the first "full mow" of the season.

I'll be getting mowers ready as soon as the rain clears here.

Been raining all day here, so I worked on de-carboning and cleaning the gasket areas. Cleaned the block, heads, intake, and some other parts with gas and a paint brush (outside) in-between rain drops. I'll wash everything again with simple green and let dry in the sun (hopefully tomorrow) and put everything together on the block (without gaskets) for painting. Still waiting on a few more parts. Getting close to putting it back together!

Getting some engine paint done, still waiting on a few parts, that will let the paint harden before I start assembly. Also still working on the rims. I keep finding parts to paint and I am down to 4 cans of white, 1/2 can of black, and 1/4 can of silver. I shouldn't need to buy any more paint unless I run across any more parts I missed.
Gotta go, Race in on.
