If you haven't heard about the latest hacking method it is called the Poodle attack method.  You can read about it here.  This article tells you what each browser is doing about the issue, and also for you windows users give you a link (at the bottom) to the M$ stopgap tool.

For those who are comfortable with using the about:config settings in FF. You can change your TLS minimum setting to 1. My understanding is that changing that setting will not allow SSL 3.0 to connect.

Where do you find that 'about:config settings' in FF?

Type it in the address line but I warn you be careful. Then just do a search for TLS is should come back with 6 settings then find the Security. TLS.version.min to a 1.  To make the change highlight the setting and then right click and click on Modify.  Change if from a zero to a 1.  Close everything out.

Took a bit but it's done. Type in about:config though. Took a bit to get that right. I even went back to recheck and it is on 1.
