I have a Cub Cadet 1512 with a 3 cyl.  Kubota Diesel Engine For Sale     ( Need to determining its value.)

The 1512 is in excellent mechanical condition. The engine has 789 hours.  The Dash has an Engine Tempeture Gage;  an Amp Meter;  an Engine Hour Gage;  an Oil Pressure Indicator;  and a Glow Plug Indicator.   The engine also has a plug in heater for cold weather starts.

I have for it the following accessories:

  1.  52” Mower Deck
  2.  44” Snow Blower
  3.  44” Front Blade
  4.  Snow Chains.
  5.  Four Chrome Hub Caps
  6.  1-7/8 Hitch Ball

This 1512 has an electronic PTO which operates the blade on the Mower Deck and the augers on the Snow Blower. It also has a hydraulic system which operates the lift on the Mower Deck, and the lift on the Snow Blower. The lift on the front blade is likewise operated off the 1512’s hydro. system as well as the left and right swivel on the blade itself.

I have owned this Cub Cadet since the late 80’s and have original manuals as well as receipts for all repairs done and parts bought.

  Model Number:  145882100

I have had a couple of 1512's in the past 3-4 years.
The last one I sold just over a year ago, had a front blade, 44" deck, rear 3 pt, similar hrs/condition -$1500.
You have more attachments, but I'm not sure where the market is headed with 30 yr old diesel gt's.
Good luck.

Is this a value question, or is this for sale?

Nice package indeed! I have had a couple of 782D's and a 1512; all very nice tractors. The only common issue is getting them started in the cold climates especially. The engine needs to spin fast and takes alot of cold cranking amps to do so.

From what I've seen over the past few years, the diesel powered Cub Cadets have become very collectible. They didn't produce a lot of them, relatively speaking and nice original examples are becoming harder and harder to find.

You will have an easier time though, if you post a price in your ad. Good luck with your sale.

Is this a value question, or is this for sale?

It is a value question, and YES, the 1512 is For Sale.

Hi,
As posted above, I have had a couple of 1512's. The 1st one had a version of add on power steering that appeared to be factory optionish. It was an add on assist kind of thing. It made driving these heavier engine gt's easier.
I agree that starting is also a problem because of the limited battery sizes that can mounted in the factory location.
That being said, imo $2,000 would be my thought.

I agree that $2k sounds about right. The one I sold 2 years ago was super clean, included a deck and bkower. I sold that one to a buddy of mine for $1800 which we both felt was a very good deal.
