Case 446

Well I got a new tractor its a Case 446.

I also got a rear tiller with the extension (I think it's 42" wide I haven't measured it yet).

I also got a 10" Brinley plow.

I also got a fully adjustable rear grader blade.

I also got a little single gang disk.

I also got a 42" deck that sounds pretty quiet.

I got an extra set of factory rear wheels and tires and weights probably weigh 65# a piece.

I also got a set of bigger wheels and tires 29x12.00x15r that were on it when I got it and another set of just tires same size (no rims). I had to switch back to original wheels on tractor so I could plow. I also need to make a set of spacers for these bigger tires because they were rubbing the fenders a little.

I also got a parts tractor with good rear gears, good axles, good brake assembly, good hyd pump, good travel control valve, good mower hyd lift cylinder, good steering gears and several other odd parts.

The tractor overall is in pretty good shape and all the implements are in great working order. The tractor is surging (idling rough) but reved up runs smooth. Also everything works on the tractor. It just has a lot of oil and grease and such on it (everywhere). I am going to go through it soon and check for leaks ect. and clean everything up. But it is in working order. I plowed my garden today.

It took a few passes to get the plow adjusted right but got it plowing good. Also I haven't loaded my tires yet or put the weights on yet and it still did pretty good. I had to keep one hand on 3 point lift control and when tires started to slip bump it up. But I was really surprised how good it did. I bet it will really plow good when i get the weights on and fluid in the tires.

I don't think Josh posted about the engine, but it's a 20hp Onan I built for Cecil over 7 or 8 years ago. Both BF 16hp engines that came with the package when I found it were pretty much trash, so Cecil & I found a cache of Onan parts & I put this engine together.
