Just a shout out to all the people who helped me nurse this old girl back to running order for the pet parade this Saturday, 10-25-14. I bought this ST16 for the sole purpose of creating and pulling a mini float for the pet parade. I have two dogs that are 14+ yrs old and a three year old puppy who think the world revolves around her. I bought a garden tractor thinking it was a Sears ss12, found out it was a ST16 and then some... you nursed me through it, gave me hope and VOILA! Hopefully your input and mine will inspire other to find, fix and ride these amazing, strong and fearless beasts. Saturday will be so much fun! I'll post lots' more photos as it comes together. I had issues with the handle/hitch..the carbs, the head, the exhaust and more but never once did i worry that you would let me down. Sears or otherwise you have all been steadfast and true supporters! I even bought a rusty snowplow on ebay knowing if it snows in ATL this year you'll get me through some how! THANK YOU!

Next is her re-do...for now her ugly-rusty'ness is perfect!

Glad to hear your ready to go. Nice job on the float too. I built a Noah's ark on a 18' trailer several years ago. The kiddies dressed up like farm animals & sit on each side waving out the openings. That was a lot of fun. Congrats to you for your commitment for doing this...parades are fun. Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Very nice looking float. You may want to add a safety chain between the trailer and tractor. I hope that you have a nice day for the parade.

Snow plowing is a blast the first few times. When you get to the tenth or more storms it can get to be a chore. You should have it just right where you are. Think about adding weight to the back for better traction. Tire chains are a big help too. Around here I pickup old tire chains at garage sales for a couple of bucks a pair and cut them down to fit smaller tires. It is alot cheaper than buying new chains. One other thing to help increase traction, lower the tire pressure. Have fun with your new toy(the difference between men and boys is the size and cost of our toys). Good Luck, Rick

Here are a few pictures from the parade, We had a blast.  Won first prize in the "float" division...of course we had the only float but...we set the standard ;).  Nothing fell off, even had a tandem wagon as our treasure island.  Turning was simple, didn't try reverse!  Float's headed up to the restaurant for Friday's Halloween events...mostly so I can ride the tractor again.
